V0 Insulation Piercing Connectors (easy tap piercing connector) are applicable for self-supporting insulated wire and service connections of insulated aluminum and copper main and branch conductors up to 1KV.
The blades of the insulation piercing connectors are made of tin-plated copper or tin-plated brass or aluminium alloy allowing connections to Al or Cu conductors.
The abc insulation piercing connector shells are made of plastic with fiberglass allowing high V0 flammability rating.
Equipped with shear head bolt. A single torque control nut draws the two parts of the connector together and shears off when the teeth have pierced the insulation and made contact with the conductor strands.
Ease of installation has been combined with excellent mechanical, electrical and environmental characteristics to provide a connector capable of terminating aluminium or copper stranded conductors.
Tested for water tightness at the voltage of 6kV 50HZ for 1 minute under water.
